    Welcome to German Syrian University.

    Amid the beauty of its rolling hills and green orchards, the comfort of its mild weather, and the historical monuments of the Krak des Chevaliers and the St. George monastery, the people of Al-Nadara Valley were motivated to create a distinguished university that would inspire future generations to serve and develop the region and the country.


    Science, technology, and the humanities would provide its foundation. Central Syria, not far from neighboring Lebanon and the cities of Homs, Hama and Tartus, would provide its location. Legislative Decree No. 36 permitting private incorporation of universities in the Syrian Arab Republic would provide its authorization. Over one hundred persons from more than twenty villages would provide the necessary human and financial resources.


    The community of visionaries formed the WADI Company for Educational Establishments, and through this corporation, a noble vision officially became a reality: The Wadi German Syrian University.
