ANAT Design and Marketing Center

The ANAT Design and Marketing Center was founded in 2003.
We want to bring work possibilities to women in Syrian villages. Their possibilities for education and work are very limited. Many villages have only primary schools. Soon after leaving school, pupils often forget how to read and write. Except seasonal peasant work there are no other work possibilities for them. We teach them how to use their handicraft skills to earn an income. We help them to found cooperatives and teach them administrative skills. Many of the women and young girls are very talented artists. We help them to develop their talent,and have already made several exhibitions of their work in galleries and cultural centers.
Every area in Syria has its own traditional textile work. We develop for every village its own design line based on the traditions and skills practiced in that area. We were able to enlarge our spectrum of textile works with new kind of stitches, laces, crochet work, appliqué, and other techniques. So we really can pay tribute to the rich textile traditions of Syria.
The ambiguous aim of ANAT Design and Marketing Center is to create a well-recognized label of Syrian handicrafts. Our claim is to present Syrian handicrafts as high quality products with artistic value.

Al Rafah is capable of printing a design on any surface of the items listed in our product range. Those items include key holders, chains, medallions, pins, special stickers plated with either hard or soft enamel, Plexiglas, ceramic and porcelain. Transfer or silk-screen printing on fabrics is also available.
Our machines can engrave on all surfaces such as wood, Plexiglas, glass, marble, artificial marble and Alabaster, leather and micro surface engraving materials.
